All-on-4 replaces a full arch of missing or failing teeth with four implants and a fixed, custom-made prosthesis. Learn how it works, who it suits, the treatment steps and answers to common questions.
All-on-4 is a dental implant treatment that replaces a full arch of missing or failing teeth using only four implants. A fixed, custom-made prosthesis is attached to these implants, giving you stable, natural-looking teeth without removable dentures. At our clinic in Alanya, Antalya, we plan and deliver All-on-4 treatment with digital diagnostics and an experienced implant team.
Four implants are placed in the jawbone: two at the front, placed straight, and two at the back, placed at an angle. The angled back implants use the denser bone available and often allow treatment without bone grafting. A full-arch prosthesis is then fixed on top. In many suitable cases, a temporary fixed set of teeth can be fitted shortly after surgery, and the final prosthesis follows once the implants have integrated with the bone.
Suitability is confirmed after a clinical examination and a 3D scan or panoramic X-ray. Uncontrolled diabetes, active gum disease and heavy smoking can affect results and are assessed individually.
Alanya is one of Turkey's most popular destinations for dental care and combines modern clinics with a seaside stay. Many international patients choose Turkey because full-arch treatment is often considerably more affordable than in Western Europe, while the clinical process follows international standards. Our team supports you with planning, transfers and aftercare communication.
The number of visits and the time you need in Turkey depend on your case. We will give you a clear schedule at your consultation.
The surgery is done under local anaesthesia, and sedation can be arranged, so you should not feel pain during the procedure. Swelling, tenderness and minor bruising are normal for several days afterwards and are managed with prescribed medication.
In many suitable cases, a temporary fixed prosthesis can be placed within a short time after surgery. Whether this is possible depends on your bone quality and the stability of the implants, which your dentist will assess.
With good oral hygiene, regular check-ups and no smoking, implants can last many years, often decades. The prosthesis may need maintenance or replacement of worn parts over time.
Often not. The angled placement of the back implants is designed to use the bone that is already available. Some patients with very low bone volume may still need additional procedures.
During the healing phase, we recommend soft foods and avoiding hard or sticky items. After the final prosthesis is fitted, most patients return to a normal diet, though very hard foods should still be approached with care.
Brush twice a day, clean under the prosthesis with interdental brushes or a water flosser, and attend check-ups every six months. A night guard is advised if you grind your teeth.
All-on-6 uses six implants per arch and may be recommended when the bone is good and extra support is desirable. Your dentist will advise which option fits your case.
Many patients can travel once the dentist confirms healing is on track and any follow-up check is complete. We will advise you on timing individually.
